Kentaro, the Itamoby double bed, the perfect solution for those with space requirements
The Kentaro vertical foldaway double bed is a piece of furniture that, with simple movements, becomes a perfect bed for all nights or an additional place for guests.
Kentaro has a reinforced iron mesh structure painted with epoxy powder in a grooved aluminium colour. The structure is made of 18mm wood microparticle panels in ash white.
The vertical opening and closing movement is assisted by gas pistons, and the two straps keep the mattress securely in a vertical position.
The dimensions of the closed bed are: L174cm, P39cm, H210cm, and the dimensions of the open bed are: L174cm, P215cm, H210cm.
This space-saving piece of furniture already comes with a beech slatted frame measuring cm163x190, with a height of 22cm from the ground; the recommended mattress (not included in the price) has dimensions of 160cm x 190cm, with a maximum height of about 24cm, and a minimum weight of 24kg.
However, it is possible to add the mattress as an option, choosing between 2 different models:
- Memory Mattress: an ergonomic mattress that perfectly moulds to the body, allowing for balanced support and good rest. The mattress is thermo-sensitive, hypoallergenic, and anti-dust mite. The fabric is covered with millions of microcapsules containing Aloe Vera essences, a means of anaesthetising the tissues and promoting antibacterial proliferation. Composed of a 5-zone wave memory foam sheet, 5cm thick, an expanded foam sheet without CFC, 15cm thick, and a grooved lower side. The mattress has a height of 24cm, is removable with a zipper, and has a medium degree of rigidity.
- Spring Mattress: a traditional spring mattress that guarantees rigidity and flexibility. The high-quality fabric and the spring system with high-load biconical springs ensure healthy and comfortable rest. Composed of polyester and polypropylene, hypoallergenic padding, biconical springs, perimeter support box 5cm thick, mattress height 22cm, not removable, medium degree of rigidity.
N.B. Wall fixing is mandatory. Handle to facilitate descent.
